Limited social networks continue to be a barrier to integration between newcomers and the general public. In order to widen these social networks, the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council (MJMC) is participating with community programming to give newcomer children opportunities to interact with children in their neighbourhoods. The children will begin at MJMC with a mini-program, and end the day at their community program.
The Childrens Summer Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and supervising an 8-week summer program for newcomer children ages 6-12, including 3 paid staff. They will supervise a morning mini-program at MJMC before transporting children to their community programming within Moose Jaw.
