Description

What you will do:

Design and maintenance of high voltage power grid to ensure safety regulations and production needs are met
Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to provide technical expertise for various projects underground as it pertains to electrical and instrumentation requirements including design, drafting, cost analysis, etc
Work with the Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of maintenance activities
Ensure solutions are based on sound engineering practices and most economical design
Review engineering specifications/drawings andpropose design modifications to improvereliability within cost and otherperformance requirements
Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and safety guidance to site personnel

What you will bring:

P. ENG designation and eligibility to register in Saskatchewan
Degree in Electrical Engineering
5-10 years' experience preferably in the mining industry
High Voltage experience and knowledge
Experience with ETAP software
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Microstation is considered an asset
Experience, knowledge and understanding of safe work practices
Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively
Effective troubleshooting skills - analytical, critical thinking and problem solving
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various departments and team members (internal and external)
