Description

The Palliser Plains Co-op Association Ltd. invites applications for the position of full-time, temporary Hardware Supervisor to join the team at our Craik location for an approximate 12-month term. Reporting to the Home Centre Manager, the Hardware Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks to achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory for the Home Centre and execute sales strategies that support the Palliser Plains Co-op vision. The successful candidate will have open availability, including days, evenings and weekends.

Key duties include (but are not limited to):
o Providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
o Operating the point-of-sale terminal and preparing daily cash reconciliations
o Analyzing period end statements, identify corrective action and provide recommendations to the Home Centre Manager
o Completing ordering and inventory processes
o Promoting and ensuring adherence to all standards
o Monitoring areas of responsibility for theft and loss prevention risks
o Housekeeping duties
o Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
In addition to a high school diploma, plus a one-year certificate and 1-3 years of retail experience, or an equivalent of training and experience, the successful candidate will be:
o Customer service oriented
o Responsible, mature, and have a positive/professional attitude
o Able to work well independently and with a team
o Able to operate a POS terminal and comfortable using computer applications
o Able to operate a variety of equipment
o Comfortable with various position changes (i.e. ongoing standing, bending, squatting etc.)
o Comfortable lifting or moving up to 50lbs
