The student worker will report to the Rural Branch Manager; in cooperation with assorted Chinook Staff. Communication skills will be developed as the student works with a wide-spread team across the region and collaborates with multiple stakeholders, including staff, community organizations, and the public. Digital skills will be used as the students works with an online environment to market and lead programming. Leadership abilities will be gained as the student works independently and on larger teams, taking on important responsibilities and special library related project work (including summer programming as well as technical services support).
Key Duties and Roles
- Student will be gain experience by being exposed and trained in a multitude of library roles.
- Works with a small team to perform independent and team-based research projects, as well as planning programming for the public.
- Uses technology provided to create and grow our digital imprint and impact in our communities.
- Other HQ duties and special projects as assigned; not limited to administrative and collection support.
