Description

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Maintain cleanliness and Health department policies to ensure the health and safety of all employees and customers
Check all produce invoices for shortages and proper billing
Ensures quality and freshness of all produce products
Suggests changes to inventory and pricing.
Accountable for the profitability of the stores produce departmen
Develop and maintain a friendly selling approach to customers
Greet and assist customers in a way that models exemplary conduct to other staff
Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience
Ensure that all produce is properly rotated at all times. Maintain a clean and sanitary department at all times
Take inventory of department produce as needed and conduct the physical inventory of all products on hand each period
Understand and follow all pertinent Food Safety guidelines, procedures, and requirements as pertaining to the produce department
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent required
Possession of Saskatchewan Safe Food Handling certificate preferred
1-2 years work experience in the groceries industry
Ability to communicate efficiently verbally, and in writing
Skills in areas of preparation and handling produce products in compliance with the store
Ability to weigh, price, label, organize, and rotate products, perform job duties as needed and complete necessary paperwork
Excellent teamwork skills
Customer service and troubleshooting skills
Problem identification and problem resolution skills
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and direction
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
A combination of education and experience may be considered
MUST provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector check
