This is a seasonal position with 35 hours per week for 8 weeks. Directly reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Special Events Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Planning, coordinating, and execution of programs; ensuring proper documentation and evaluation.
Preparation of program areas for scheduled activities; cleaning of program area after use.
Observe and evaluate safety of participants within programs.
Client intake and tracking; file and calendar maintenance.
Attends staff meetings, trainings, and workshops as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

To be eligible, applicant must:
* be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*;
* be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
* have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations;
* have related knowledge and experience.
Additional requirements include: a criminal record with Vulnerable Sector Check; Strong Organizational Skills including experience in working with computers; Fluency in another language will be an asset.
