Description

Responsible for shipping, receiving, and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock to and from the organization. Must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use of any necessary equipment (ie. forklift). Other responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming shipments to verify contents and quality and assist in the scheduling of freight
appointments. The Shipper-Receiver must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming and outgoing items. This position works closely with each division in Fortis and reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor.
