C&C Construction is seeking an Electrician Apprentice to help implement the electrical systems and equipment for a new value-added processing plant. The Electrician Apprentice will assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and testing of the electrical systems and all other related equipment.
Reporting to Building Manager, the role will:
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications
Install and test various electrical and control systems, cabling as well as related equipment
Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fitting
Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker, panels, and fuse enclosures
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and code compliance
Perform routine testing and maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
Ensure quality by following standard work instruction and identifying any potential risks
Maintain order, cleanliness, work output and safe working conditions in work areas
Promote a safety culture as well as attend safety meetings
Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Registered Apprentice Certificate
Experience installing electrical systems in new construction projects and/or manufacturing environments is considered an asset
Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Physical endurance to fulfill the assigned duties
Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
Candidates will be required to bring their own electrical tools and safety attire
