Employment Terms:  Seasonal. 65 hours over 3 weeks. Flexible; potential for weekend work

Passionate about empowering young people?Enjoy debate and public speaking?Then we are looking for you!SEDA is looking for energeticpeopleto lead speech and debate workshops for young people grades 5  12 at our Saskatoon summer camp.Youwillbe responsible forprovidinga fun and educational experience forallparticipants.


About SEDA:

The Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Associationsvision is a world where youth have the confidence and skills to engage in reasoned discourse on complex and difficult issues. Our mission is to advance the speech arts among Saskatchewan youth byprovidingelocutionand debate programs and resources.SEDA hostscompetitive tournaments, helpsstart speech and debate clubs,providedresources to teachers and coaches, and teachesdebate and speech skills to students in grades 5-12.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Prepare for classes with your co-instructor/s using SEDA lesson -plans.
-Lead andfacilitateworkshops
-Teachpublic speakingand debateskills
-Providean enjoyable and educational experience for allparticipants
-Participate in feedback and reportingprocesses
-Report directly to Camp Director.


Qualifications and Skills
-Minimumgrade 11education
-Team player with leadership skills/experience
-Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills
-Reliable andorganized
-Speech or debate experience anasset
-Familiarity, knowledge, and passion for contemporary socio-political-cultural issues and asset
-Successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check
