Truck Driver/Equipment Operator
Position is for a tandem/body-job gravel truck driver/heavy equipment operator. This is a casual/seasonal position that often requires overtime hours, and possibility of weekend work. The position has the opportunity to be permanent/fulltime for the right candidate.
Job Duties:
    Drive gravel truck, hook and unhook trailers, and frequently pull gravel pup
    Load or be loaded with various materials and haul and dump at various locations
    Maintain drivers log, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and track jobsite hours
    Know and comply with provincial and municipal road weight restrictions
    Keep equipment tidy and report any mechanical concerns, or otherwise
    Operate equipment including, but not limited to, skidsteer, loader, backhoe, and compact and full-sized excavators
    Be available 5 days a week
Requirements:
    Valid Class 1A drivers license
    Clean drivers abstract
    Clean criminal record
    Physically able
    Cell phone
Skills and Abilities:
    Experience with heavy equipment
    Follow instructions and directions well
    Eager to learn
    Willing to take courses and training required for job sites
    Willing to wear basic PPE on all jobsites
    Work well with others
    Work well unsupervised
    Calm under pressure
    Punctual
    Quick learner
    Adaptable to fast paced work environment
    Attention to detail
    Mechanical knowledge would be a strong asset
    Good communication skills
    Personable
