Position Description/Summary:
The Associate Assistant Director reports to the Assistant Director. The Associate Assistant Director is primarily responsible for Program Operations and Special Projects. In the absence of the Assistant Director the Associate Assistant Director will assume responsibilities of the Assistant Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:
    The Associate Assistant Director coordinates and monitors the development and implementation of programs, services, and special projects.
    In the absence of the Assistant Director the Associate Assistant Director assumes direct responsibilities of the Assistant Director.
    Quality improvement with respect to Agency Operations and Program Services.
    Responsible for all aspects of special project agreements.
    Liaison with community leadership, stakeholders, as well Client families.
    Direct supervision of the Program Managers.
    Conflict resolution related to employee and client matters.
    Dedicated to maintaining compliance with standards for Accreditation with CARF International.
    Researches and implements Best Practices and current trends.
    Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
    Must have a recognized University Degree in Social Work with five (5) years supervision experience in the field of Child Welfare Services.
    Sound knowledge of Provincial Legislation and Child Welfare policies.
    Knowledge and understanding of counselling theory and human behavior.
    Proven administrative, supervisory and counselling ability.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.
    Extensive experience in organizational and financial management, program planning, staff development and community/governmental relations.  
    Criminal Record, and Drivers Abstract Clearance
