Responsibilities and Competencies
Responsible for all day-to-day operations of Darkside Donuts.
Workflow assessment and planning for day-to-day operations including but not limited to orders, special events and wholesale accounts.
Managing and providing leadership to both the retail and production teams.
Hiring and training of staff.
Regular evaluations of staff including supporting employee development and discipline as needed.
Constant record keeping of staff issues, production volumes, sales, etc.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Working directly on profit production in a high-paced environment.
General knowledge of production methods and organization.
Demonstrating proper techniques to bakers as needed.
Organizing customer orders both custom and regular.
Management of inventory.
Meeting payroll and sales goals.
Must have strong time management, communication and organization skills.
Responsible for proving input for the annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting process as well as for working within the budget as approved.
Management of all communication for Darkside Donuts be it email, phone, social media, etc.
Management of weekly cash deposits to the bank.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Hours
Standing for the majority of the work day. In the small shop, this is an in-person, hands-on production and general management position.
Moving and lifting up to 30kg ie, lifting and moving 20kg tubs of dough.
Shifts are usually 8 hours, can start at 4am, at times earlier. And as needed.
Full-time ~40+ hrs/week
