The R.M. of Corman Park is hiring an administrative assistant to provide support to its planning department. Duties include:
Act as a first point of contact with telephone, email and in-person planning and development related inquiries to provide customer service, including answering basic inquiries or referring it to the appropriate individual.
Review and issue zoning compliance certificate, minor variance and environmental site requests and provide accurate responses regarding the development and use of land.
Process planning applications including updating related databases/municipal records and preparing routine letters and other correspondence.
Assist with the preparation of bylaw packages including advertising notices.
Prepare and coordinate permits, forms, letters and other types of forwarding documentation to outside agencies.
Assist with the upkeep of planning and development related website information, forms, brochures and manuals.
Where necessary assist in the compilation of data for various reports, including annual report.
Compile and prepare Committee and Council Meeting packages as required.
Arrange and book meetings for planning staff including aiding in the preparation and distribution of information materials.
Work collaboratively with other planning and municipal staff in a team environment.
Perform office tasks including data entry, file management, invoicing and copying. Other necessary tasks that may be required or assigned and that have been deemed reasonable.
