Job Overview
RAM Industries Inc. is an established manufacturing company seeking expertise and leadership in a Senior Accountant. This position is located at our head office in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
The Senior Accountant plays an important role in financial reporting and business support.
Education:
A post-secondary accounting education is required for this role, although equivalent years of experience will be considered. Preference is for candidates holding (or actively working towards) a Canadian professional accounting designation.
Experience:
Individuals with at least 5 years experience in a senior accounting role overseeing the work of other accountants is required. Experience working within a manufacturing or processing environment, and prior exposure to ERP systems is an asset.
Duties:
Timely preparation of financial statements and Company reports
Oversight for all accounting department staff and areas of responsibility, including account receivable, account payable, vendor/customer relations, and related support to other Company departments
Cash flow management
Continuous improvement of the Company's procedures and reporting systems.
Skills:
Strong business sense; training will be provided to those with an ability and interest to learn the business in order to become a key member of the Management team
Strong aptitude for data analysis
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
Above average computer expertise (accounting software, spreadsheets)
Proven ability to independently supervise, mentor and manage accounting personnel
