Key Outcomes and Responsibilities:
Implement and measure various aspects of data risk and compliance matters by working with multi-discipline/cross functional departments, project teams, stakeholders and vendors:
- Assists in creating and maintaining technical documents, including policies, procedures, and standards related to data security
- Develops data ingestion, storage, search, and delivery methodologies with cloud solutions, data warehouse and data lakes to support a wide array of data sources and types
- Develops Security Event Monitoring strategies leveraging standard baseline methodologies and advanced correlation techniques with OSINT, related systems and applications, and other data sources to enhance overall security posture and service to our customers
- Establishes effective measurement and reporting methodologies to manage performance and effectiveness of key security programs through the development and deployment of dynamic KPI dashboards and reports
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in technology, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent education and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a security engineering role
- Minimum of 2 years direct data security or security architecture experience
- At least one Security Certification demonstrating depth of knowledge across Information Security domains, notably: ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, ISACA CISA
- Advanced experience working with cloud environments to manage data collection, parsing, storage, and search capabilities
- Comprehensive experience working with Python, SQL, Java, and Serverless Technology
- Comprehensive experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure to deliver big data platforms
- Comprehensive experience working with analytics platforms (i.e. Tableau)
