Description

Calian Advanced Technologies is looking for a Technologist whom is graduating in Spring 2022 to join our manufacturing team! This position will conduct prescribed tests, develop and evaluate engineering and manufacturing documentation, improve shop floor efficiency and direct problem resolution.

We are looking for people who are interested in working with a team to solve interesting and complex problems. Diversity of perspective is valued and is a key aspect of our success.


Responsibilities:

Conduct tests following prescribed test procedures on Calian projects
Troubleshoot (to the component level) then document any problems that arise during test
Ensure the defective components are repaired correctly and repairs are carried out efficiently and in observance of Calians standards and project requirements
Repair customer equipment both at Calian and on site
Document and implement processes for assembly area
Specify and/or fabricate tools, fixtures, jigs, consumables, and assist in the maintenance of equipment
Assist engineering and senior personnel in the assembly and test of prototypes, engineering development models, and test fixtures
Review engineering designs and documentation for manufacturability
Support off-site installations and integrations for extended periods of time as required by the projects


Qualifications:

Two-year Computer Engineering Technology Diploma from a recognized technical institute
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Able to work well in a team environment to meet quality and scheduling commitments
Able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to completion despite interruptions
A valid class 5 drivers license
Access to a personal vehicle that can be used for work purposes
Willing to travel internationally
