Description

The Lanigan & District Curling Club is looking for an Ice Technician for the 2022-2023 Curling Season. This position would commence October 2022 and conclude April 2023, with the possibility of rehire for subsequent curling seasons.
The L&DCC boasts 4 sheets of ice, a lobby area with a full kitchen and office, as well as a lounge/mezzanine upstairs with lockers, a great view of the ice, and a fully serviced bar. The club hosts 4-5 bonspiels per season, league curling two nights per week, school curling two afternoons per week, as well as other events throughout the season.
This position reports to the L&DCC Board President, William Dodd.
Preference will be given to those who have completed the Certified Ice Technicians Course, but the training will be provided to the successful applicant if needed.
Duties include but are not limited to:
    Assisting in ice installation at the beginning of the season
    Ice maintenance throughout the season
    Prepping ice for league, bonspiels, and competitions
    Maintaining/servicing the ice and ice-related equipment
    Assisting in ice removal at the end of the season
    General building maintenance throughout the season
    Collecting and tracking membership fees
    Other duties as assigned
The monthly salary range for this position is $1,200 to $1,600. Placement in the range will be based on experience and qualifications of the successful applicant as assessed by the Board. This position is, on average, around 15 hrs/week.
