Job Description: Seeking a cardiac sonographer for adult transthoracic echocardiography studies using M-mode, 2D, and colour Doppler techniques. This may expand to LV strain and stress echo in the future.
You will be employed by two expert echocardiographers with level 3 training, the only ones in Regina
Machine: Philips Epic machine with a 2D and pedoff probe
Technical job duties will include performing complete adult echocardiography studies as per the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines, including rooming and setting up the patient for the scan.
Non-technical job duties include:
- Able to work independently and recognize echocardiographic emergencies and inform other health care professionals
- Familiarity with the echocardiography equipment to arrange inspecting, testing, and replacement of any components
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with patients and other administrative staff
Recommended Qualifications:
Certified by Sonography Canada as a Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS)
Diagnostic Medical Sonography diploma
Certified and to maintain active certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Maintain Continuous Medical Education (CME) credits.
