Description

Are you a passionate human resources professional that would like to work for a thriving non-profit company that is dedicated to assisting immigrants and refugees to integrate and thrive in Canadian society? As the HR Coordinator for Global Gathering Place you will be integral in the recruitment and retention of our dedicated workforce. You will also be responsible for employee relations and communicating to management the relevant changes in employment law, among other duties.

The primary responsibilities are:  
- Identifying and recommending ways to improve HR processes and ensure integrity of information, programs, policies, and procedures
- Coordinating all recruitment initiatives and activities including job postings, interviews, and reference checks
- Facilitating onboarding of new employees
- Maintaining the strictest confidentiality on matters pertaining to employee file management
- Spearheads initiatives including celebrations, internal newsletter, weekly inspirations etc. aimed at maintaining and building a positive team culture

The ideal candidate will possess the following education and skills:

- A University bachelors degree in human resources management or related discipline, and experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Saskatchewan Employment Standards
- Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment with high attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism
- Experience and commitment to promoting environments where diversity in background, thought and practice is welcomed and valued
- A clean Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
