KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bookkeeping duties including: bank and credit card account reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable, payroll calculations, WCB, GST reporting, preparation of T4s and other bookkeeping duties.
Complete Personal and Corporate Tax Returns.
Effective communication with clients, government agencies, partners, and staff.
Experience with Small businesses and Non-profits would be an asset
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years Accounting Technician experience in an accounting practice is preferred.
Bachelor's degree, Business College or Business Administration Diploma with Accounting major is required.
Proficiency with accounting software, such as Quickbooks Online and CCH Ifirm.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel and Word).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organization skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and flexibly manage multiple tasks, and work with limited supervision.
High attention to detail, including strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
