The akwaskiw Project Coordinator will develop partnerships with outside agencies to raise awareness and expand education on human trafficking. Implement programs and services that provide individualized support and assistance to survivors and raise awareness of human trafficking in the greater Saskatoon area. Organize and plan cultural activities that will instill a sense of cultural pride and encourage self-determination for Indigenous girls and LGBTQ2+ individuals. Develop curriculum and educational units focused on social justice and self-empowerment to be delivered in schools and at community workshops.
Qualification
BSW or a minimum of 3 years combination of employment and education experience
Knowledge and understanding of the history of Aboriginal peoples and their socio-economic backgrounds.
Background knowledge in human trafficking and experience working with survivors is required.
