Description

We are currently looking for a Catering & Banquet Supervisor to join our team at the Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites. This position will oversee the banquet operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to our valued guests.

Job Requirements
    Coordinate with the event host on all aspects of the banquet in a friendly and warm manner
    Check for cleanliness, proper set up, and make sure enough supplies and equipment are available for each function
    Oversee all aspects of assigned banquet events ensuring they are ready for execution at the appointed times
    Oversee employees on duty to ensure they are performing tasks to expectation
    Participate in event space tours
    Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests, to perceive when next course should begin, or when meal is completed
    Supervise and assist in the set up and break down of assigned banquet rooms according to contract and Catering & Event Coordinators instructions
    Coordinate function details with all related event staff
    Assist in conducting pre-shift and pre-function meetings
    Actively participate in set up of banquet rooms and service of food and beverage to guests
    Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Attributes
    Serve It Right Certified
    Bar Experience
    Working knowledge and understanding of banquet and food service standards
    Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
    Must be willing to work irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by scheduled events
