Description

Prairie Harm Reduction's is seeking 1 Full-time Support Worker to work Monday to Friday. One position is for 9am-4:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide Case Management for people living with or at-risk of HIV and HCV, people living with addictions, people who are homeless and people with chronic mental health issues.
-Support in potentially high-risk situations
-Support clients who access Safe Consumption Site & Drop-In Centre
-Assist in the Drop-in Centre
-Provide Naloxone Training
-Think creatively to create sustainable and attainable case management plans
-Conduct self in a professional non-judgemental manner
-Maintain confidentiality
-Maintain documentation and ensure appointments are followed through with
-Maintain up to date knowledge in Social Services, Justice, Health policy and systems.  

PREFERRED SKILLS & EDUCATION:
-Must provide a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons Check
- MUST posses a valid Drivers License, own a reliable vehicle.
-Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, Addictions Certificate, post-secondary education in related human services field or combined work and life experience relevant to the position
-Comfort working with target populations
-Ability to build trusting relationships with people who access services
-Knowledge of substance use and its impact
-Knowledge of community services and agencies in Saskatoon
-Good oral and written communication skills
-CPR First Aid Level C
-Naloxone Training
