Description

We are looking to fill a position as soon as possible for a customer service representative/hospital assistant full time.  
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Client communication  e.g. answering phone calls, greeting clients, telephone triage, sales,  education, follow-ups, reminders, statements, client mail outs, automated client communications
Maintain clinic appointment scheduling
Perform retail and over the counter sales
Close transactions with clients
Maintain sanitation, maintenance and stock of retail and reception areas

Physical Demands:
The employee will be required to frequently:        
Bend
Stand
Stoop

Vacuum and mop the floors

Use hands to manipulate, handle and feel
Reach with hands and arms
Lift and carry animals weighing 50lbs or more
Handle animals of 150lbs or more
Maneuver into and restrain large animals in chute complex
Work Environment
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to and at risk of hazards with;
Controlled substances
Unpleasant odors
Noise
Animal waste and excrement
Infectious patients (zoonotic and non)
Aggressive patients
Bites
Scratches
Upset or emotional clients
Preference will be given to applicants who have a Veterinary Office Assistant, Veterinary Medical Assistant or Veterinary Assistant diploma or those who have worked in a veterinary hospital before.
