PURPOSE
The Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies (SAISIA) is seeking an Executive Director (ED). The ED ensures the development and implementation of SAISIAs strategic plan and policies, guides the development and financial sustainability of the organization, and provides strong operational leadership.
Responsibilities include oversight of business planning, financial management, grant writing, facilities, technology, human resource management, marketing and communications, sector consultations and educational programming. The ED oversees services to member agencies and stakeholders, member relations, and manages SAISIA staff and resources. He/she/they will work independently and with partners to advocate for policies and programs that strengthen the settlement sectors capacity to respond to the needs of newcomers to Canada.
NATURE OF THE WORK
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED will work closely and collaboratively with government funding agencies, primarily Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), member agencies, and other stakeholders that serve newcomers. The annual operating budget is $850K with eight (8) staff, and the Board anticipates a period of growth in staffing, revenue, and responsibilities.
The work is deadline-driven, client-driven, service-oriented and requires ongoing research to ensure that Saskatchewans settlement sector is achieving the outcome of improving the lives of newcomers to Canada. Special projects are common, such as organizing and facilitating consultation events or helping to ensure a coordinated province-wide approach to emerging challenges.
