ROLE DESCRIPTION
Sonic Milling Systems is recruiting a highly motivated Food Scientist for its Saskatoon processing facility. This position is responsible for providing scientific support in formulation and process development and managing multiple products to commercialization. The position is also responsible for compliance with government regulations and food safety. Experience in a manufacturing plant preferably within the Food & Beverage industry is an asset. You must be able to work with minimal supervision, and as part of a multi-disciplined team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Travel may be required within the province and annual corporate sponsored training will be provided which may be outside the province.

REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary education in one of the following disciplines: Food Science, Microbiology or another related field.
One to two years of previous experience in the Food Manufacturing industry is preferred.
Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, Product Development Cycle.
Experience with Quality Assurance is an asset.
Ability to operate specialized processing equipment.
