Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team responsible for supporting all of Camecos Saskatchewan operations in a temporary one-year term.
As the procurement specialist, you will source a range of materials, equipment, and services, conduct RFQs/RFPs and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will contribute to value creation from procurement activities, act as they key service provider to our partners at our Saskatchewan northern operations, as well as participate in continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Your regular work will include sourcing best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generating and expediting purchase orders in an SAP environment, develop and execute contracts, manage vendor on-time delivery and facilitate expeditious resolution of blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
This is a temporary position for approximately 12 - 18 months.
Requirements of the position:
- A bachelors degree in business, commerce, or in a related field
- Three or more years of experience in the supply chain management procurement field
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Assets:
- Previous SAP experience
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
