Royal Auto Group is seeking a full time
Junior Accountant with minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting/business and a strong interest/experience in the area of Personnel work, to work with the Owner/GM to support the business aims of Royal Auto Group.
Main duties:
-Verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, cheques, invoices, and bank statements.
- Effectively perform accounting and analysis tasks
- Responsible for financial accounting and reporting
- Ensure that all finance activities align with appropriate accounting guidelines
- Improve the fiscal / financial systems, analysis and reporting at Royal Auto Group:
- Identify and propose opportunities to improve business practices
- Prepare and do monthly government remittances
- Sustain full compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Improve processes and controls between accounting and other departments.
- Improve quality of analysis and reporting
- Prepare for Year End.
- Improve productivity and quality of accounting work.
- Support the owner/GM's decision-making with timely financial analysis and advise.
- Update yearly insurance applications
Employment requirements:
- Knowledge and experience with Automotive platform is an asset but not required
- 1-2 years experience in accounting/business
- Strong attention to details
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate with a pleasant disposition, highly confidential and exercise extreme discretion to sensitive matters
