Under the direction of the Supervisor, Transportation Operations, the Semi Driver is responsible for operating, inspecting, and preparing the semi for pickups and deliveries.
You will operate a semi-truck unit which may include rural and city deliveries, city pickups, and spotting of trailers.
You will prepare trailers for deliveries including cleaning interiors, operating the fuel truck, and fuelling reefers.
You will perform minor mechanical work on trucks, semi-trailers, and reefers when required, and you will perform trailer inspections and report on condition of equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Note Shifts are starting at 2 pm or 4 pm
You have a minimum of 6 months of Class 1A semi-truck driving experience and less than 3 moving vehicle offences in the last 2 years. Preference for candidates with 2 years of Class 1A semi-truck driving experience.
