Description

JOB DUTIES:

Confer with business stakeholders to identify the project requirements, conduct technical studies to design the logical and physical specifications for developing a software product.
Estimate the level of efforts for an assignment and identifying the delivery timelines.
Analyze and design technology solutions adhering to quality standards and document them in a detailed Technical Design Document.
Work on the user stories in the Agile sprints to develop the most viable product meeting the client needs and enhance the existing computer programs in the support model.
Write, modify, integrate, and test the software code using technologies like IBM Mainframes (COBOL), JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2 database, Unix/Windows Servers.
Perform unit testing of the software product, triage with dedicated testing teams and business users to identify and fix the bugs in different phases of the Test Life Cycle.
Involve in the peer review of the code and automate the deployment process to the higher environments as part of Software Development Life Cycle.
Lead and co-ordinate with IT scrum teams for building the processes and IT solutions.


REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

Bachelor's Degree (or) Master's Degree in a related field (Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Maintenance)
Must have 6+ years of related experience with developing/maintaining legacy mainframe systems and creating/consuming interfaces with upstream and downstream applications
Technical Skills (Mandatory): IBM MAINFRAMES - CICS, DB2, COBOL, JCL, VSAM and OS/MVS/ISPF/Endevor concepts at primary level
Banking domain knowledge (or) Supply Chain Management Experience
Experience in onshore-offshore communication
Client interaction experience required
Provide on-call support (Rotation Basis)
Flexible to travel as necessary
Excellent written, oral communication skills and listening skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
