Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for nurse practitioners for the Miko-Mahikan Red Wolf and Women's Health Centre at All Nations Healing Hospital.

1. Reporting to the Manager of the Women's Health Centre, this position works as part of an interdisciplinary primary health care team to provide health care services to women through the life span within the Women's Health Centre at All Nations' Healing Hospital in Fort Qu'Appelle. This position will provide outreach services to the communities of the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently and collaboratively with physicians and midwives, depending upon the complexity of client needs. This includes: health promotion and protection; first line treatment and emergency services; provision of supportive counselling and instruction in management of medical conditions; disease and injury prevention; initiating and conducting community needs assessments; participating in evaluative projects; and collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals.

2. Reporting to the manager of Red Wolf, this position works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide health care services to HIV/HCV positive individuals and to those families experiencing Opioid use disorder. These services are provided within a harm reduction and rights-based philosophy. This position will also provide outreach services to the communities of the File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently and collaboratively depending upon the complexity of client needs.  


Qualifications:
-Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
-Masters Degree in Nursing.
-Registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners
