Description

We are looking for a permanent Medical Office Administrative Assistant for Specialists (internal medicine) Clinic. The office is based at South End Medical Clinic- Southland Mall. The position will be available effective upon finding a suitable and passionate person desiring to work in this service sector. Working hours are flexible/ negotiable and typically range between 30 to 35 hours/week. Salary will range between $20-25/hour based on individuals qualifications and prior experience.

Prior medical office administrative training and experience is necessary plus experience with EMR and Accuro.

Skills required include:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail,
Well developed interpersonal communication skills, a pleasant and kind approach when interacting with patients in person and by telephone
Good understanding of requirements for patient confidentiality and privacy principles.
Computer literacy and cyber safety for PHR is basic skill
Ability to work independently

Duties include:
General office duties including:
Scheduling clinics and managing waiting lists/follow up lists
Medical billing in Accuro
Addressing office related emails, faxes and telephone calls
Medical records chart organization/ filing

Basic qualification: Medical Administrative Assistant diploma
Experience: Twelve (12) months or more previous experience working in an office environment.
