Description

Royal Drug Mart, located in Melville, SK is currently accepting resumes for one (1) full-time or Part-time Registered Pharmacy Technician.

--24 to 40 hours per week.
--Occasional weekend shifts required.
--This location is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
--The successful candidate must be licenced in the province of Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities:
--The Pharmacy Technicians primary role is to ensure prescriptions are filled correctly. The right medication gets to the patient, related administration, and managed inventory.  
--Transcribe verbal orders, transfer prescriptions, and check on the technical aspects of the prescription.
--Exercise professional judgment always and be able to recognize when the clinical expertise of a pharmacist is required.
--Perform administration functions, such as documentation, third-party billing reconciliations, and completing required audits.

Qualifications:
--Licenced Pharmacy Technician
--Pharmacy Technician Certificate from a CCAPP accredited post-secondary institution.
--Preference will be given to those who have retail Pharmacy experience.
--Due to the sensitive nature of this position the successful candidate must complete a Criminal Record Check.
