The Science Explorer supports the Saskatchewan Science Centres mission of igniting scientific curiosity in Saskatchewan residents through the delivery of interactive, dynamic and engaging experiences.

Working alongside the Programming Team, the Science Explorer will provide a positive, engaging and amazing experience for every visitor at the Saskatchewan Science Centre and also in our virtual environments.

Science Explorers are key frontline personnel who develop and maintain positive relationships with our members and visitors. They are helpful, informed, and enthusiastic. Science Explorers are active listeners and are focused on finding positive solutions to challenges. They are naturally curious, and excited to try new ideas.

Duties include: delivery of Saskatchewan Science Centre programming, demonstrations, science communication, community and special events, animal care, cleaning and maintenance, and other duties as needed.

Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
    Some post-secondary education, preferably in Education, Science, or Engineering
    Experience teaching or instructing a variety of age levels.
    Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.
    Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a constantly evolving environment.
    Strong presentation skills.
    Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector Check.
    Be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
    Be able to work on your feet for extended times.
