Ad Production & Copywriter
Consult client/marketing representative regarding information for the ad, and consult the client on script before production of ads
Write scripts for ads
Write live tags for CFCR sponsors
Help/edit the work of others in the office when requested
Ad Creation & Production
Coordinate times for talent to voice ads & recruit new voice talent
Record voices for commercials offering direction and support when necessary
Locate appropriate music for ads
Produce ads with clients and businesses, and CFCR-related spots (Upcoming events, promotions, new programs, campaigns, initiatives, and more)
Ensure ads are completed on schedule
Assist in production studio training of volunteers where required
Assist with recording live on-air performances (ie: The Buzz)
When Program Director is absent, take on some duties including overseeing spoken word programming (and more)
Add and schedule commercials to the computer, maintain all ad logs
Other Duties
General office duties (answering phones, greeting the public)
Other general duties as required by the General Manager
Qualifications
Strong creative and technical writing skills
Copywriting, audio editing, and on-air broadcasting experience
Ability to remain on deadline and adapt to changing workloads
Live sound engineering experience/knowledge is an asset
A progressive attitude and good stress management skills
Experience in a non-profit organization setting is an asset
Post-secondary education and production audio editing experience is an asset (but not required)
