PRIMARY ROLE:
Applies chemicals as a licensed applicator, and with all required protective equipment.
Mix pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides for application to trees, shrubs and lawns.
Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formulas.
Lift, push, and swing nozzles, hoses, and tubes to direct spray over designated areas.
Identify lawn or plant diseases to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
Inspect landscaping to determine treatment needs.
Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions.
When weather is not permitting to work as an Applicator, the following job requirements would apply:
Performs landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning
Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and tillers
Performs landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding
Assists with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader
Performs other duties as required
Experienced and/or licensed applicants will be given priority.
