Qualifications:
Food Safe Certificate
Experience working with young children.
Experience working collaboratively with parents.
-Menu planning in accordance with Child Care Licensing Regulations.
-Developing and posting a menu no later than Friday for the following week.
-Creating nutritional meals that hit all the required food groups.
-Developing the menu based on healthy and budget friendly foods available.
-Cook will be responsible for the timely preparation of snacks and lunch each day.
-Snacks will be served no later that 9:30 am and 3:00pm each day.
-Lunch will be served at 12:00 each day
Preparing food in accordance with Food guide and licensing regulations
-Cook will be aware of all childrens allergies and ensure that proper precautions are exercised when serving children with allergies.
-Cook will ensure that the kitchen space is sanitized frequently.
-Cook will wash hands every time they enter the kitchen and after touching childrens personal items.
-Cook will do full cleaning of kitchen and dining area after each meal,
-When time permits, cook will assist with other staff cleaning duties.
-Cook will be permitted to count for points situationally- not regularly.
-Cook will greet parents and children as they arrive at the centre and spread relevant information to the rest of the staff members.
-Cook will assist parents in filling out medication sheets and setting alarms for the administration of medications
-Cook will document all snacks and meals in the Hi-Mama App being sure to add accurate notes.
-Cook will be expected to attend all staff meetings.
-Cook will be expected to maintain respectful and kind relationships with staff.
