The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre is currently recruiting for an experienced full-time Chef de Partie/supervisor for our busy kitchen.
The primary function of the Chef de Partie will be to assist the Executive chef and Sous Chef in the daily operation of the line/banquet prep and execution. This position may be required to perform scheduled duties in banquet event preparations and will also be required to guide associates in accordance with the policies and procedures in the kitchen.
Our ideal Chef de Partie will be able to set an example and model hotel and department standards, as well as be competent at dealing with customer concerns, ensuring each guest has a great experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
-Assist in training/re-training and developing the line cook team
-Work with the Chef to ensure food quality and presentation standards are of the highest standards
-Assist with inventory control and stocking
-Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
-Assist in promotion of specials and contests
-May be required to input payroll and assist with scheduling
-Ensure a clean, safe and friendly environment
-Other duties as assigned
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 -5 years of cooking experience
-Demonstrated leaderships abilities
-Excellent organizational and managerial skills
-Previous experience as a supervisor
-Proficiency with English communication both written and verbal
-Must be able to problem solve independently
-Up to date with current Health and Safety regulations
-Able to continuously stand, bend and lift up to 30lbs unassisted
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
