Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, the Liquor Store Clerk is responsible for delivering excellent customer service; receiving merchandise, stocking products, cleaning shelves, helping customers, operating register, merchandising, displaying products; making end caps displays; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications: Must have a Serve It Right Certificate; must be 19 to work in the Liquor Store environment. Previous liquor retail experience is an asset but not required, strong product knowledge, and knowledge of provincial liquor regulations is preferred. Candidates should possess equivalent retail experience with cash handling or cashier experience; basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; understanding of basic math; able to operate POS system as well as understanding credit and debit procedures; ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times; and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn is needed. Repetitive physical labor required; must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. within work safe guidelines.
Availability: Full availability, days, evenings, and weekends.
