Position Scope:
This position is supervised directly by the Centre's Clinical Supervisor and is responsible for the delivery of the Impaired Driver Treatment Program and to provide counselling to people with problems related to substance use.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Understand and implement the Saskatchewan Impaired Driver Treatment Centre's philosophy, policy and program model.
2) Continually ensuring effective facilitation skills and counselling style.
3) Delivery of individual and group therapy to the assigned clients for effective living, free from problems related to substance use.
4) Be involved in the case management of assigned clients in the Impaired Driver Treatment Program and through the change process.
5) Be involved as a team member in the total case management process of the clients.
6) Participate in the larger community as a staff member of the Centre and representing the Centre with presentations, lectures, and training programs.
7) Other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or recognized University Certificate in Psychology, Social Work or a related field, or successful completion of a two year diploma/certificate in the Addiction Counsellor Program (formerly known as Chemical Dependency) plus one year experience directly related to substance abuse treatment. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates are required.
