Job Description: - The  Speech-Language Pathologist assesses, diagnoses and provides intervention for children with communication disorders.
- The Speech-Language Pathologist is also involved in health promotion and prevention work in relation to communication disorders.
- The Speech-Language Pathologist will work in concert with other agencies and disciplines in providing services.


Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to accept and implement change
Ability to assist and develop policies and procedures according to best practices
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings/weekend as required
Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
Ability to apply the principles of community development
Ability to effectively handle a large caseload, be a self-starter
Ability to effectively counsel and work with individuals, families, and groups
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with professionals, para professionals and other service providers
Ability to make appropriate clinical judgments regarding client care
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, their re
