Our candidate will be required to act in the capacity of organizing, reviewing, and aggregating business proposals, M&A transactions and contracts, and contract drafting.
Skills
Effectively understand, develop and execute business proposals, M&A transactions and contracts;
Exceptional ability to draft definitive agreements;
Attention to detail;
Exceptional time management, organizational and communication skills (oral and written);
Be able to work independently with little instruction;
Computer literacy;
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Experience
3 or more years of experience in the fields of corporate law, M&A and definitive agreement drafting.
Law Degree and member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
Duties
Contract Administration;
Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify contract strategies;
Coordinate actions with internal legal team and multi-corporate executive management team;
Obtain instructions and draft contracts; including definitive agreements for M&A transactions;
Resolve any existing contract conflicts;
Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages;
Follow up to guarantee contractual terms are being met;
Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization;
Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage; and
Utilize knowledge of legal records and procedures and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents.
