Bindery Operator
Do you know about folding and cutting paper?
How would you like to learn?
Printing company requires machine operator for various Bindery finishing operations.
Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.
If you are looking for a career change, or just starting out, this could be just the job you are looking for.
Responsibilities:
Manufacture orders using various pieces of equipment while adhering to customer specifications.
Operation of cutting and folding equipment.
Ensure high standards of manufacturing quality while minimizing material waste.
Works closely with other Production departments to deliver orders in a timely manner.
Communicating regularly on daily status of work.
Ability to function independently and responsibly.
Perform daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Ordering of supplies as needed.
Cleaning of work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Handy with tools and equipment, mechanically inclined.
Computer literate.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs, bending, standing, walking.
Eye for detail.
Superior communication (both written and oral), time management skills.
Ability and willingness to switch gears at a moments notice.
Ability to work independently within a strong, fast-paced, cooperative environment.
Bonus Marks:
Printing Experience, any type of print knowledge and familiarity with print equipment.
Certificate program graduate, Post secondary or equivalent work experience.
Shipping and receiving experience, forklift operation.
This is a full time position in Saskatoon. Wages based on experience.
