Description

Lumsden Supermarket Ltd located at 45 3rd Ave, Lumsden, SK S0G 3C0 has an opening for a full time and permanent retail meat cutter. Duties
Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat, poultry, pork and fish for sale at self-serve counters or according to customers' orders
Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
Prepare special displays of meats.
Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry or fish and may wrap prepared meats, poultry, fish and shellfish
Prepare value added products, marinated meat, smoked meat  make and smoke sausage (in store custom recipes)and burgers
Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
Supervise/train other meat cutters
Must have experience in different cuts and  cutting meat according the needs of clients
Must have excellent people skills
Previous experience in dealing with customers in a fast paced meat retail environment is an advantage
Personal hygiene important
Must have ability to  learn and accept different cuts as required by customers
Must be able to work flexible shifts, 8 hour shifts between 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday - Sunday.
Wages: depending on experience and abilities
Annual Leave of  15 days
Overtime of time-and-a-half after 40 hours per week
