Oversees financial activities on a day-to-day basis and ensures that such activities are being carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions of agreements and contracts.
Maintains the books of account.
Ensures that office administration and financial systems (including procedures) are being followed and performs follow-up as required.
Assists in staff training and education with regard to new accounting procedures/practices and controls. In conjunction with the MFN Health Director, assumes operational responsibility for all matters related to finance including: Maintenance of a chart of accounts for all program activities. Posting to and reconciling the general ledger, banks and subsidiary modules on a regular basis as assigned.Ensuring the financial statements are up-to-date on a monthly basis. Preparing periodic financial reports for review by the MFN Health Director according to the terms and conditions of the funding agreements and coordinating submission of these reports with required written reporting from other staff.
Managing the Health Centres accounts payable and accounts receivable on a regular basis.
Ensuring that up-to-date program and accounting files are maintained, including payment summary and information files.
Performing other duties related to the financial operation of the MFN Health Centre as required.
