The Town of Mossbank is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant (Casual).
This is a casual position and hours will vary based on seasonal demand from zero (0) to thirty-five (35) hours per week. Busy season is typically from May to September and applicants should expect to be called in frequently during these periods to respond to seasonal demand and allow permanent staff to take holidays. There will be minimal hours the rest of the year.
The duties shall include the following:
- receipting
- preliminary grant application preparation
- mail pickup/sorting
- printing of documents, folding & mailing
- filing
- ratepayer correspondence (phone & online)
- research as directed
- updating of accounts
- vendor correspondence
- maintenance of cemetery records
- preliminary accounts receivable billings
- website maintenance
Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the CAO. The successful applicant must be capable of working independently, be detail-oriented, have strong computer/typing and communication skills, and be open to new learning in this dynamic field. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as basic accounting skills will be considered an asset.
The wage rate for this position is expected to fall between $13.00-16.00 per hour, commensurate with related qualifications and experience.
