To transport goods & supplies over long distances,operate and drive principally tractor-trailer, long-combination vehicle,and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 kg
Ensure cargo is adequately secured in compliance with safety requirements, and follow dangerous goods transportation safety protocols
Plan the logistics of your journey and secure the necessary documentation to transfer products
Maintain log books manually or electronically and administer bills of lading;Using communication devices and on-board computers, communicate with the dispatcher, other drivers, and clients.
Keep track of cargo, service hours, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
