Job Description and Responsibilities
Wheat City Metals has an immediate opening for a Torch Cutter position. This role is suitable for individuals who are mechanically inclined and put safety as their first priority. This position is critical to helping the team meet scrap production level goals.

To cut scrap steel to size using a cutting torch
Keep equipment serviced by conducting routine maintenance and completing minor
Report any damages or issues to the supervisor
To follow established safe work practices at all times, including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE) or clothing

Requirements
Previous work experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrapyard/auto part environment will be considered an asset
Physically capable of fulfilling all the tasks associated with this position
Willingness to learn and work responsibly
A proven history of reliability
Mentally alert to surroundings
Willing and able to work shift work
