MATH/SCIENCE COORDINATOR
The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) serves four schools in the three northern Saskatchewan Denesuline First Nations communities of Black Lake, Fond du Lac and Hatchet Lake and has its Central Office located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
The ADEA is seeking an innovative and strategic individual for the position of a Elementary Math/Science Coordinator to be based at its Central Office. Reporting to the Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, the position will:
Provide leadership with regard to all Authority math and science programming.
Work collaboratively with ADEA senior administration and school-based staff to plan, implement, and monitor appropriate K-Grade 5 evidence-based numeracy instructional and assessment practices, resources, and technology applications.
Work collaboratively with ADEA senior administration and school-based staff to plan, implement, and monitor appropriate K-Grade 5 evidence-based science instructional and assessment practices, resources, and technology applications.
Provide in-service to teachers in math and science across the Authority.
Train and support school-based math catalyst teachers.
Prepare and provide virtual training and on-line courses for teachers and students.
Prepare and present reports monitoring program implementation and student results.
Prepare and monitor budgets to support numeracy/science programming.
