CBCCI is an inclusive child care centre offering care for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. CBCCI is currently seeking applications for a part time cook at our child care centre located in Central Butte, Saskatchewan. The start date for this position will be August 30th, 2022. Monday to Friday employment.  Wage and benefits are negotiable and will be based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary
The cook will be responsible to CBCCIs Centre Director. We are looking for an organized, energetic, outgoing professional who loves to work with children. We strive to create positive environments where children can learn self-esteem, strong social skills and experience emotional growth in order to become healthy, happy and confident individuals. Healthy meals and snacks are a critical part of this environment. This position would be approximately 25 hours per week with the potential for additional hours as an ECE employee upon finding a suitable candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing nutritious snacks and lunch for up to 33 children each day
Menu planning
Purchasing and inventorying food and supplies
Kitchen cleaning and sanitizing
Ensuring hygiene and safe food handling procedures are being followed
Other duties as assigned

Education and Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent with 3 years of related experience OR a Culinary Certificate/Diploma with two years of related experience
Safe Food Handling Certificate
Criminal record check
18 years of age or older and legally entitled to work in Canada
